Stainless steel is somewhat expensive so is generally only used to compliment a galvanised or painted stair superstructure, such as handrail or balustrade. Many consider this the ideal finish when balustrades will be exposed to heavy weather situations including areas where there is potential for salt spray as in coastal locations.

There are various types of gal stairs  depending on the location. If the stairs are going into a coastal environment, then the highest marine grade is recommended.

Our staff can determine the grade of Gal Stairs . Gavinised stairs  a resistant to corrosion and staining, and its low maintenance and familiar lustre make it an ideal material for extreme applications. However, the expense involved in providing stainless components, combined with the improvements in epoxy enamel paint finishes, has significantly reduced the demand for stainless componentry.
